Stephanie Abrams is no stranger to hurricanes. She grew up in south Florida and says that Hurricane Andrew left a lasting impression on her. "On that day, I became interested in knowing how hurricanes formed," she says. "Seeing the destruction the storm caused has stayed with me since I was young."
Stephanie made her debut during the historic 2004 hurricane season reporting live on location during Tropical Storm Bonnie, Hurricane Frances from New Smyrna Beach, Florida and from Gulf Shores, Alabama during Hurricane Ivan. She also reported from within the eye of Hurricane Jeanne. A Florida native, Stephanie graduated cum laude with a B.S. in Meteorology from Florida State University and also earned a B.S. degree in Geography from the University of Florida, where she graduated with honors. Stephanie can be seen alongside Mike Bettes each weeknight at 8pm ET on Abrams & Bettes - Beyond the Forecast. | |
