Historical Winter Storms

Blizzards, nor'easters, ice jams and flooding - all sorts of destructive weather occurs during the winter.

Many events may be large in scope and cover a wide geographical area, and if not, they still tend to devastate numerous areas with power outages, traffic snarls, and freezing temperatures.

Unlike tropical systems, winter events are not given names. Instead, they are called by the year, the date, the geographic region most affects, or some notable event related to the storm.
